Patrick Earles - Dallas, TX
Creative QB, Visionary & Founder

Patrick is relentless competitor, entrepreneur, coach, mentor and servant leader who wears many hats. Yet, his favorite two hats are husband and dad as he is the grateful father of eight adult kids and two grandkids. He was born into a modest, blue-collar Catholic family with New Orleans, LA roots and a proud English & Italian heritage. He grew up as a competitive athlete in Montana where life in Big Sky Country was an adventure with its wide open spaces. The protestant work ethic in Montana, culture, exceptional educational system and Younglife in Billings shaped his perspective and values.

After high school, Patrick worked as a pipe fitter during summer / winter semesters to pay his way through two years of college in Hammond, Louisiana. He grew weary of eating eggs for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and left college in January 1983 at age 21 to pursue a career in sales with the same contractor he labored for as a college student. The founder of the contracting firm, Lavon Maulden, Sr. credited Patrick with single-handedly developing a robust new market for his firm within the timber industry that paved the way to new economic growth & viability. Patrick’s aggressive business development in 1983 brought a portfolio of new projects with Manville Products, Willamette Industries and International Paper which sustained company’s operations for more than a decade.

At the conclusion of this successful first year of business development, he was recruited to a well-established, respected Milwaukee, WI company. Three years later, a telecom startup company asked him to join their biz development team and the startup grew from $400,000 in year one to $22M and was acquired by WorldCom, Jackson, MS.

Patrick resigned from the telecom startup company in January 1990 to start Win Corporation, his first business with two mentors. Win Corporation was launched as a national telecom brokerage firm and an alliance partner of AT&T, TelecomUSA, & Sprint. The firm had great sales success but was a failed partnership and taught Patrick to be more objective and measured.

Patrick launched Unrivaled Advisors in April 1991, a creative impact agency that operates in Dallas today. Two years after launching Unrivaled Advisors, Patrick disrupted the northwest Florida tourism market in April 1993. His creative vision in seeing the future led him to dominate this growing tourism market serving as the chief tourism referral source for the top 20 resorts and hoteliers. He captured all tourist inquires through innovative 24 hour tourism network for the Emerald Coast, creating a better tourism development model that gave his clients competitive advantages against rivals. His notable clients included Sandestin, Abbott Realty, Seaside, Henderson Beach Resort, Edgewater Resort, Seascape, Topsail, Seagrove Condominiums, and Newman-Dailey Resort Properties.

Unrivaled Advisors morphed into a full service management advisory by the year 2000.

He is the founder of Unrivaled Development Group, a subsidiary of Unrivaled Partners, LLC introducing a new economic model of sustainable commercial real estate development. The model elevates the performance of commercial real estate by 150% with higher internal rates of return (IRR) typically performs across all assets classes but two - (1) climate storage, and (2) industrial warehouses.

Because he is a contrarian with a DNA wired for disruption, starting The Venture Foundry in November 2012 with the ambition to develop a portfolio of ventures. Most daring souls would have raised outside money from partners, but he chose to bootstrap The Venture Foundry. He has built a portfolio of companies having incubated 30+ startups which included the world’s first smartphone defense case in the launch of Yellow Jacket, LLC. A maker of new smartphone case with a 7 million volt stun gun and battery pack in the product design.

Young professionals seemed to be paralyzed by the fear of failure. While failure is never the aim, it teaches us to be objective and refines our judgement. The experience can elevate our resolve to better understand how to live inspired as a pathway to sustainable success in life.
